2012 Ride for Our Heroes

The 2012 Home Base Ride for Our Heroes on Saturday, September 22 was a truly inspiring day, as over 600 riders, passengers and concert attendees gathered to honot our nation's service members, veterans and familes and raised over $26,000 for the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital's Home Base Program.  The WZLX Ride for Our Heroes Party featured live music from Foghat, raffles, Red Sox legend Bob Montgomery, photos with the World Series Bike, and numerous vendors.

The support of the riders, passengers and concert attendees helped make this event a tremendous success, raising much needed funds for the Home Base Program and strengthens the program's important mission of providing clinical care and support services to New England-area service members, veterans and families affected by combat stress or tramautic brain injury; offering education for the community and clinicians on these "invisible wounds of war," and conducting research in the understanding and treatment of post traumatic stress (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
